VALVE Reveal Dates for The International 10 Qualifiers

VALVE have announced the dates of the qualifiers for The International 10. To ensure that teams competing in the upcoming major have enough time to prepare, the qualifiers have been distributed over a longer period of time. The dates are as follows:

• Eastern Europe, South America: June 23rd – 26th
• North America, Southeast Asia: June 30th – July 3rd
• China, Western Europe: July 7th – 10th

The qualifiers will feature participants of the regional DPC leagues, from both upper and lower divisions – those who will not advance to The International following the major’s conclusion. The teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with one best team of each region advancing to the TI.

Today is the first day of WePlay AniMajor, this season’s final major event. Besides featuring a $500,000 prize pool, the event will also determine 12 teams that will be invited to The International. Learn more on the tournament’s Play-In stage from our recent piece.

The International 10 will be played on August 5th – 15th at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The tournament’s prize pool exceeds $40M.
